Here's to Trying New Things

I recently did something I never thought I would...hiked to the top of the Mt. San Jacinto Peak! Elevation: 10,834.  The hike is about 11 miles round-trip if you take the Palm Springs Tram. Taking the Tram is really beautiful and takes you from the desert heat of Palm Springs up to the cooler mountain top. You can also hike to the top from Idllywild, but I've been told that's much longer.

It was really hard, and I'd say the last three miles were painful, but totally worth it. I love it when you accomplish something you didn't think you could!
